History...

T and J was previously 'Hewsons'. Ian Simmons 'our leader' bought the company in 2003... he has been known to show regret!

Hewsons was founded by Robert Hewson in the early 1990's. He worked hard to build up a solid reputation with his Clients, initially selling oil. As time went on, he realised there was a niche in the market, supplying fine foods that were not available from the bigger players. This was gladly received by his Chefs. We have continued to grow with the demand from our customers to source and deliver the finest ingredients available.

The Team...
Julie, Debbie and Ian Mac have been here since the beginning... bless them!!
Jules is now our buyer - her determination to source new products and fight our corner on pricing is invaluable!
Debs on telephone, taking your orders and generally making everyone laugh... You need to check that experience out for yourself!!
Ian Mac - His reputation for speeding off with his van doors open has finally caught up with him this year. Yes, he lost his license! As the valued member of staff he is we have temporarily put him to pasture behind a desk - After the initial shock of working with us girlies he is now enjoying his new role, although we know he secretly cant wait to get back on the road!!
So after nearly twelve years we have two new delivery guys, Ian and Glynne.
Both are articulate, enthusiastic and into working for T&J which means that our service is as efficient & friendly as ever.
Leaving Nicki and myself - Nicki does a fantastic job of running the warehouse and keeping the boys in check. Myself - I just try and keep everyone sane!!

To Date...
We are determined to work at improving all aspects of the business, last year we launched our new product brochure (and it hasn't meant an increase in prices) we strive to be as competitive in pricing as we can, although we are determined not to loose our personal touch!!

As a small independent company, we cannot guarantee we will be the cheapest on all items. However we can guarantee premium affordable quality products, a local reliable service with first class support, helpful people working with you, for you.
